2046

Wang Kar Wai's 2046 is a Chinese sci-fi flick. Chinese movies aren't particularly known for sci-fi elements. I suppose with the sword fighting movies that are always popular in Chinese cineman, there isn't a lot of need for sci-fi. :-)

I've written about 2046 on my blog where I talk a lot about Chinese movies. I am not sure I have a real handle on the film, but I did like it anyway. I think that after I've gone back to watch more of Wang's films, I will watch 2046 again. I understand it is more meaningful if you've followed Wang's career. Perhaps. I'll try to give it another try after I've seen more of his movies.
