Peregrine Online

I am migrating my travel blog to a site called Peregrine Online. I know, ironic, huh? Well, it seemed like the thing to do, putting it on its own domain.

I will be writing about the same sorts of things I always have, travel around Singapore, China, and other parts of Asia, as well as other spots I've been around the globe.

I'm adding in another section to the blog, which is more on life in Singapore and Shanghai, especially with tips for foreigners staying in one place or the other (I split my time between the two, though I was brought up in the US).

Hope you'll stop by to see me there.

Cheap Hotels in London

One thing I learned very quickly when I traveled to London is that things don't come cheap there. The exchange rate was a shock to my system... not surprising since most of my travels before that time had been to places where I received a favorable exchange rate. When I went, it was 3 to 1, and not in my favor. Ouch.

I did, however, manage to get an affordable hotel. Not because I was clever enough to use easytobook.com (actually, there was no such thing as online booking back then), but because I traveled with a group.

Thankfully, easytobook.com makes it easy to find cheap hotels in London for travelers today. London cheap hotels can be found there, and easytobook.com makes it a breeze to do so.

Travel Writing

Travel writing is a genre all its own, and one I like to try my hand at from time to time.

If you've not seen my travel blog yet, you might enjoy having a look there. If you've got a travel blog, don't miss the link at the bottom of the left-hand navigation bar. That little widget can link you up with a great opportunity. It's connected to the Washington Post's blogroll. If you've got a good, active travel blog, click on that widget and join the fun. You stand a chance to earn a few advertising dollars, and even better, to really generate some traffic at your site.

I don't get any rewards for letting you know about this, so it's not some self-serving sort of thing. I just thought anyone with a travel blog might be interested.
